• Opening – The show began with a song-o-logue from Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, celebrating the shows and nominees of the evening.
• Something Rotten! – Nominees Brian d’Arcy James and Brad Oscar led the cast in “A Musical.”
• The King and I – Tony-winners Kelli O’Hara and Ruthie Ann Miles, nominee Ken Watanabe and the cast performed “Getting to Know You,” “Something Wonderful” and “Shall We Dance?”
• On the Town – Nominee Tony Yazbeck serenaded the audience with “Lucky to Be Me,” and the cast performed a medley of “New York, New York” and “Times Square Ballet.”
• Gigi - Nominee Victoria Clark, Vanessa Hudgens, Corey Cott and the cast delivered a bubbly performance of “The Night They Invented Champagne.”
• Fun Home – Tony-winner Michael Cerveris and nominees Sydney Lucas and Beth Malone performed “Ring of Keys” in an adaptation that reflected the show’s staging in the round.
• An American in Paris – Nominees Leanne Cope, Robert Fairchild, Brandon Uranowitz, Max von Essen and the cast soared through a medley of “An American in Paris (pas de deux),” “S’Wonderful” and “I Got Rhythm.”
• On the Twentieth Century – Co-host and nominee Kristin Chenoweth and the cast performed a medley of “Life Is Like a Train,” “On the Twentieth Century,” “I’ve Got It All” and “Babette.”
• The Visit – Nominee Chita Rivera and the cast performed “Love and Love Alone” and “I Would Never Leave You.”
• Finding Neverland – Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammer led the cast in a performance of “Stronger.”
• It Shoulda Been You - Lisa Howard, Adam Heller and Tyne Daly performed “Jenny’s Blues.” 
• In Memoriam – Josh Groban and upwards of 175 performers from this season’s shows sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” in tribute to those who passed during the year.
• Curtain Call – In celebration of its 10th-year anniversary on Broadway, the current Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, brought down the house with “December 1963 (Oh What a Night).”

Other Elements

• Best Play Presentation – Bryan Cranston introduced each of the season’s Tony-nominated Best Plays: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Disgraced, Hand to God, and Wolf Hall Parts One & Two.
• Joe Manganiello acknowledged Corey Mitchell of Northwest School of the Arts, the recipient of the inaugural Excellence in Theatre Education Award, presented by Carnegie Mellon University and the Tony Awards, the first national recognition program to honor kindergarten through high-school (K-12) theatre educators.
• Past-winners James Monroe Iglehart and Jessie Mueller co-hosted the Creative Arts Awards, sponsored by City National Bank, which took place prior to and during breaks in the telecast.
• Live coverage of the Tony Awards red carpet was streamed on TonyAwards.com and CBS.com in a special entitled “Live! From the Red Carpet,” co-hosted by Darren Criss, Laura Osnes and Sierra Boggess.
• For the seventh consecutive year, the Tony Awards were simulcast live on Clear Channel’s Spectacolor HD screen in Times Square. Deborah Cox and Justin Guarini co-hosted the event.
