The American Theatre Wing’s 73rd Annual Tony Awards® has announced a host: Tony- and Emmy Award-winning actor and CBS “The Late Late Show” host James Corden. The 2019 awards ceremony will air LIVE on Sunday, June 9, 2019 (8:00PM ET / delayed PT) from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on CBS. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

This marks Corden’s second time hosting The Tony Awards. He previously hosted the 70th Annual Tony Awards in 2016, which won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Program. Corden also won a Tony Award as Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for his 2012 performance in One Man, Two Guvnors.

Tony night begins at 5:00 p.m. ET when Denny Directo and Montego Glover host "Live from the Red Carpet" LIVE on Twitter at @CBS, and also on ET LIVE.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to host the Tony Awards. The Broadway community is very dear to my heart and I’m beyond proud to be part of this incredibly special night,” said Corden.

The Nominations for the 2019 Tony Awards will be announced live, by Bebe Neuwirth and Brandon Victor Dixon, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from the New York City Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The event will be streamed on Facebook LIVE, and covered by CBS This Morning at 8:30am ET.
